“A Compass for Your Work: Find Your Way Through Long Writing Projects” on 10/15 at OCWW
Very excited to be teaching with the Off Campus Writers’ Workshop (OCWW) on October 15th! A description is below.
How can we keep going in the middle of long writing projects when we lose momentum, feel fatigued, or become disoriented? This class will teach you how to be your own best reader and writing coach. You'll learn a step-by-step process on how to ask yourself better questions, make generative connections in your work, and keep a process journal. By the end of the class, you'll have a compass to guide your way through short stories, essays, and book-length manuscripts.
SARAH KOKERNOT is a fiction writer and essayist. Her work has appeared in The Best American Short Stories, The New York Times, Tricycle, EPOCH, Michigan Quarterly Review, Crazyhorse, Front Porch, West Branch, Lady Churchill’s Rosebud Wristlet and other publications. She has taught creative writing as a visiting faculty member at Northwestern University and as an instructor at StoryStudio Chicago.
